![]() The Sacred Order of Living Paganism A spiritual order of sisters and brothers who pursue a deep understanding and practice of Paganism for the betterment of one and all. "The Order is not led by a single individual or controlling group. Instead, it is led by an idea which is given form in our constitution. We wish to avoid the intoxication and abuse of power that often comes when humans are put in charge of a religious movement and chose to have the Order led by a written document instead. This gives individual Circles the freedom to teach and operate as they wish within the guidelines of this document."Well known author, Shanddaramon (Self-initiation for the Solitary Witch and Living Paganism) is a founding member of the Order, which is situated in America. The order incorporates the five degree training system as outlined in Shanddaramon's book Self-initiation For The Solitary Witch. The Order defines its beliefs in the Three Principles and Five Precepts of the Sacred Order of Living Paganism. The Three Principles of The Order are:Sources: I believe that everything on Gaia is sacred and related. All things are part of the God and Goddess and the God and Goddess are part of everything. This I call spirit.Choices: we have been given free will and hence we all have the right to choose both in mundane and spiritual matters. These choices we must make with the best of our ability and the tools we are equipped with at the time, as long as we do not cause any harm to anyone including ourselves, including the planet and all our plant, animal and mineral brothers and sisters.Cycles: life consists of wheels within wheels and circles within circles. These cycles and circles is how spirit manifests as a cosmic force in our lives. As a witch I celebrate and observe these cycles through observance and ritual at the esbats, astors and sabbats.
